That Lush Waikanae wedding

So excited to be blogging this wedding, only been meaning to get to it since January! Where has the year gone already??
Anyway, it’s a gorgeous wedding, set in a lush garden in Waikanae, and bought to you by our talented friend Billie Brook. With her romantic, warm and classic style of storytelling, you’ll be sure to adore and be inspired.

Loving embrace by the newlyweds, Mikey and Nina. With that lush background and yummy backlight, so classically romantic!

Mikey and I met in high school in Rotorua when we were 13. We fell for each other when we were both living in Melbourne in after being friends for many years through high school and university. Mikey proposed to me in Lorne, a coastal town near Melbourne. He planned a weekend away and asked me with a book he had made about all the things he loves about me, overlooking the beach.

We always envisioned having a rustic, garden style wedding. We knew we wanted our guests to be able to move around and meet new people. We had lawn games and pass around food to help with this.

It's so hard to think of a favourite part of the day because you're on such a high, surrounded by the people you love the most, celebrating your love for each other - every second of the day was perfect, even the parts that didn't go to plan. We will always remember how we felt that day and what we were there to celebrate.
