Pretty In Pink
An ode to spring! Inspired by blooming cherry blossoms and that (almost) spring feeling in the air, we’re exploring the colour palette of pinks.
A classic wedding colour palette, feminine pink hues are timeless, pairing beautifully with white. Across the board, from deep, almost-burgundy tones through to pastel and blush - you seriously can’t go wrong!
Our top tips when it comes to a peachy, pink palette?
MIX UP THE TONES
This works perfectly with bridesmaids’ dresses! Not only is this a great way to keep the photos interesting and add layers and depth to your colour palette, but it also means that each person can go with a shade of pink that compliments their features. Why not even bring a bit of pink into the suits to keep it cohesive? Add pink into the buttonholes for the guys, or go for some brightly coloured pocket squares.
TRY A PINK BRIDAL DRESS
Whether you go full pink like Amy, photographed by Patina, or you opt for a champagne-toned dress instead - this is a great alternative if you’re not feeling the traditional white dress. Alternatively, add pink into your bridal look through florals in the hair, the bouquet, your accessories, or even your lippy. Nothing pops quite like a bright pink lip!
IN THE FLORALS
The best way to tie together a colour palette? The flowers! Softer pinks look oh so dreamy paired with sage green and neutrals. Adore! You could also pair soft blush tones with deep, rich reds and burgundies for a little bit more romance (big yes to the Mustard Folk setup below!)
FIND A PINK BACKDROP
Nothing quite as jaw-dropping as a bright pink backdrop! A shout-out to the gorgeous pink wall at Rose & Smith in the Wairarapa. Simple, yet massively effective! We’re also loving the hot-pink chairs captured in the gorgeous styled shoot by Jo Moore Photographer.
