Wedding day - just the essentials - check list
We know you’ve spent weeks and maybe even months preparing for the massive day of celebrations. And you’ll have plenty of awesome creative ideas to make the wedding day super special, you may have even check-listed the heck out of your wedding day planning, but here is one final seriously practical and non gender specific wedding day essential list: what to pack before the wedding.
A non gender specific & practical “what to pack” pre wedding - Just The essentials list.
Water and snacks, sounds basic but easily overlooked.
Mints.
Tissues, yes tissues. Or baby wipes.
Paracetamol, antihistamines and eye drops, you just never know…
Deodorant.
Sewing kit.
Rescue remedy.
Comfy shoes.
Phone charger.
Water and snacks
It’s too easy to get caught up in the excitement (or stress) of the preparations that you can forget, or don’t make time to eat! Make sure you keep yourself well hydrated at the very least, and get someone who’ll be close by to carry a couple of quick protein snacks. The last thing you want is to feel faint, or dehydrated and get a headache - so make sure you keep your energy levels up throughout the day!
Gum or mints
Yes, you’ll be needing those. With all the socialising, hugging and kissing and chatting to people, you’ll want your breath to be fresh!
Tissues or Non toxic baby wipes
Not just for the tears! They’ll come in handy in more ways than you can imagine. Eg: guests leaving half of their makeup behind on the or you after the hugs and congratulations… Keep a small pack of baby wipes or tissues on hand.
Paracetamol and antihistamines
Other than any medications that you would normally need. You still never know what might affect who during the course of the day, (and it’s going to be a long as awesome day!) So have some of those basic pain killers ready. Eyes drops, and aloe vera also spring to mind.
Deodorant
Another obvious but do we need to remind you? Maybe, just maybe…
Sewing kit
Yes those things! A sewing kit can (almost) save lives on your wedding day. And make sure it’s stocked with thread and needle, safety pins and some scissors. It’s inevitable that your dress, or your bridesmaids’ dresses, or something, will go through some wear and tear on the day. So come well-equipped and worry free!
Rescue remedy
Not that either of you will need rescuing, but this little bit of calm in a bottle can really help with any unforeseen nerves, or over excitement. Yes, there is a kids version!
Comfy shoes
Changing foot wear before your location photos is always a good idea! Not just for comfort but also to be practical.
It’ll save time while you climb that rugged rock or it’ll keep your gorgeous pair of shoes safe and clean from the mud and cow dung while you cross those gorgeous fields at the back of the farm. If you aren’t already wearing your best comfy shoes on the wedding day, pack some for later on. As we said it’s going to be one long as awesome day!
Phone charger
No one is surprised by what and how much we use our phones for anymore… So, remember to pack that charger!
And that is about it. As we said you’ll no doubt have all sorts of wonderful and creative ideas on what to organise yourselves, but don’t forget some if not all of these basic (potentially life saving!) items on your wedding day essential check list.
And bonus tip, just incase…
Don’t forget the rings!
