Something for Everyone - Wedding Colour Palettes

Today, we’re looking a few colour palettes - and saying goodbye to the popular trends, and hello to what speaks to you and your style! Our best word of advice is to go with what you love - trends and popular styles will come and go, but if you choose your favourite colour combos, you’ll undoubtedly love the colour scheme forever. After all - it’s your wedding day! So whether you prefer to go bold and outrageous, or reserved and classical, we say - do it!

BLUSH + SAGE

This one is a classic combo. Photographed at the perfect venue, the Milk Station, by Photography by Andie - we’re in love with this colour palette. Soft blush tones combine naturally amongst neutrals, and paired with the sage tones? A big yes! Dreamily styled with a classic neckline and a pop of colour on the lip (thanks to the dream team of talented creatives behind this shoot). These colours work against any backdrop - from bright summer skies to urban concrete. We adore the subtle pops of brighter colour amongst the bouquet and tied together in the hairpiece and lippie.

RED WINE + SOFT GREY

Ooo, this is a perfect bold look, while still giving a shout Who doesn’t love the rich, delicious combination of burgundy and soft, neutral tones? This look is perfect for bringing a bit of warmth to a winter wedding, or for adding a touch of festivity to those summertime ones! An added bonus? This colour looks good on everyone! We’re loving the way that the red tones have been complimented by natural makeup and delicate accessories in this gorgeous wedding photographed by Hollow & Co. The bouquets capture the colour scheme perfectly - expertly crafted by Claire Ellery.

ORANGE + NEUTRALS

This combo screams retro, modern and boho simultaneously - and it can be perfectly styled to suit any vibe. This look’s a little bit more out there - but pair simple white or light coloured bridesmaids dresses with pops of orange through the bouquets, and the occasional soft pink tone, you’ll be able to bring this colour palette into 2020. We love the gold cutlery and natural textures of linen through this styling by Nomad Styling in Australia - this look gives us the warm, nostalgic fuzzies.

GREEN + GOLD

This is undoubtedly a favourite of ours - how can you not love the magical combination of lush botanicals, with pops of gold to bring the glam? Bring in the same tones into your bridal party outfits, the greenery into your bouquets, and the gold into your jewellery. Captured by Patina Photography, this colour combination works so perfectly against the simple, soft greys and minimalist decor.
